Transfer print is an ideal alternative when printing a small quantity or when the symbol is a complex image (photo or a symbol with a lot of colours). Transfer print is also a suitable way to apply names or numbers to textile products.
Transfer printing can be done in two ways:
(a) the insignia shall be cut out of the corresponding coloured film and pressed onto the product.
(b) in the case of complex logos, the insignia shall be printed on a white media which shall be cut out in a suitable shape and pressed onto the product.

The advantages of the transfer print are:

• You can print a very detailed symbol or a photo.
• As there are no complex preparatory steps, small quantities can also be made.
• Particularly suitable for printing names and numbers

On the downside of the transfer:

• The printing material is filmy and not so “breathable”.
• Although very detailed and colourful symbols can be printed, it is not possible to cut tiny objects out of the film, and the surrounding area that is added can be distracting.
• The material to be printed must be able to withstand temperatures of at least 150 ⁰C.
