The lid features small spikes that enable even and gentle distribution of water vapour from condensation over the contents, offering a self-basting feature. The pot’s black enamel interior features larger pores and a slightly rougher surface that gradually fills with oil over time, producing a non-stick patina like that of raw cast iron. This cast iron pot is suitable for all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
